Applicants need a National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and English at the required performance level. A minimum APS score and specific subject results apply — refer to the Admissions Office for the latest thresholds.
Yes. Students who have completed the three-year BSc Computer Science with a sufficiently high average (typically 60% or above in third-year modules) are eligible to apply for the one-year BScHons programme.

Yes. The department maintains dedicated Linux computer labs for practical work as well as access to the Stellenbosch University HPC cluster for research-intensive projects. Students also receive GitLab accounts on the departmental server.
